March for Babies

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity has a partnership with the National March of Dimes (MOD) to form teams and participant in their annual WalkAmerica fundraiser. WalkAmerica is a major fundraiser for the March of Dimes, and is usually held during the last weekend in April, on a Saturday or Sunday depending on the area and location.. The walk is approximately 6 to 12 miles long, and those participating are asked to get financial sponsors or pledges to support their walk efforts. Local Chapters of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, INC. are asked to form local walk teams which may be comprised of friends, family, spouses and children or anyone who would like to participant in the walk or provide assistance to the local MOD chapter. The funds raised during this WalkAmerica Fundraiser are used to continue research efforts and programs administered by the March of Dimes.
